yertle the turtle is a story about a turtle who wants to control everything that he sets his eyes on. So the intresting thing about this story is that is was based off of hitler, because hitler wanted to control more land so he attacked other countries. Well Yertle the turtle said all he could see he would control, so yertule the turtle started to stack more and more turtles ontop of each other so he could see more. As the turtles stacked and stacked yertle the turtle king was happy but before long the turtles fell and they all feel to the ground and crashed into the pound. With the crashing it showed the fall of hitler and how after it all he was still only the dictator of a little country and thats all it will be. There are alot of facts that people dont know about DR. Seuss like how he wrote stories about real events that were happening to the world, and how he wrote stories about hydgen to the troops to make sure they brush their teeth and clean their feet so that there body wont get infected. There is alot about things he do, you just have to read between the lines
